pills n' thrills and bellyaches
Still deathly ill - now something weird is going on with my ear - and teh intertubes have cracked and spilled intermessages all over the place, but there's still plenty to be hopeful about this week:
1) After threatening to stop the car and make him come back there and hit us with his ring hand, Norbizness has decided to keep around his film-snob-dvd-wrap-up-thing a little longer. Do check it out; next to his award-nominated "Ax Da Prez" remixes of presidential press conferences (and don't let me forget the first-person Star Trek erotica he writes), it's one of my favorite things about his blog.
2) Bison are back on the Arsenal.
3) Next week is the last week at the job. More on that later, but it's good.
4) I've been in and out of sleep all morning and missed a chance to liveblog (via C-SPAN) the oversight committee hearings on the Bush Administration's shutting down communication of global warming. I don't want to get all fanboy here, but Waxman has been holding it down. It doesn't help that there's hardly any Republican representation save Yawning Brown-Eye Darrell Issa and Chris Cannon (Shays, correct me if I'm wrong, has not sipped from the denier punch bowl), both of whom seem to be waaaay over their heads on this matter. I'll see if there's any chance to follow up in the coming weeks. On other global warming-related news, I may have the opportunity to liveblog an internatinal online global warming conference in April. More on that later as well.
